The Robert Service Show - Dawson City, Yukon Territory

Tom Byrne shares the Klondike poems of Robert W. Service
There are strange things done in the Midnight Sun
By the men who moil for gold...
For over twenty years Tom Byrne entertained thousands of people with his spellbinding performances at the Robert Service cabin in Dawson City where "The Bard of the Yukon" wrote many of his famous Northern poems.

The 1999 season saw Tom's show in a new location on Front Street, a few blocks from the Robert Service cabin, and then for a few years the show was moved to the Westmark Hotel. Those locations allowed for more comfortable seating for his audiences, and were quieter venues more conducive to his performances. As well, they provided protection from the mosquitoes and rain!

Although we'd love to have you experience the show in person, exciting dramatizations of Robert Service poems are also produced on CDs, audio cassettes, videos and DVDs. These recordings create powerful renditions, complete with music, howling wolves and whistling winds.
